Dhokla is famous Gujrati snack preparation which can be made in many ways. It is healthy and filling snack, ideal for breakfast and brunch.

Preparation time: 20minutes
Ingredients:
1 ½cup – gram flour (Besan)
1/2 cup – semolina (sooji/ rava)
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder as per taste
Turmeric – a pinch
Asafoetida (hing) – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Eno powder – 2 to 3 tsp
Mustard seeds, cumin seeds
Coriander leaves
Oil for frying
Method:
- Add all dry ingredients like gram flour, semolina, salt, red chilly powder, turmeric, sugar in a bowl
- Now add water and make batter
- Add Eno powder when ready to cook
- Apply oil in the Idli pot and pour the Dhokla mixture
- Allow it to steam for 10 – 15minutes and then cool
- Cut into pieces and fry slightly in a pan
- Add mustard, cumin seeds, asafoetida in the oil to fry
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with ketchup or Mint (pudina) chutney
